Eligibility
Priority registration to E1-E5 and those who have not attended a previous Combat Fishing Tournament
Previous attendees, E6-E9 & Officers are not eligible.
Must be active duty or currently serving (yes, Guard & Reserves are included).
Must have recently redeployed from a combat zone (Iraq, Afghanistan or thereabouts) within the last 15 months or have orders to deploy within the next 6 months.
Must gain approval from your “leave manager” prior to registering for this event since it falls on a normal duty day!
You must have a valid Alaskan 2012 fishing license prior to the event!
Registration Period & Requirements
Registration period is April 18th – May 2nd for E1-E5 (please note we are closed on the weekend).
There is a non-refundable $25 charge at the time of signing up, payable by credit card, cash or check.

Registration Process
Registration will not be accepted without a completed registration form, $25 payment, and military ID.
Registration will be accepted in person, by email or fax only. No phone registrations will be accepted.
In person location: JBER Main Office only: 7135 Doolittle Ave (Bldg. 7135; 2nd floor of the Kashim Club). Mon-Fri 0800-1700 hrs.
You must include registration form, credit card information & a copy of your current military ID to register by fax or email! Without all parts, your registration is not complete and a spot will not be saved until complete.
You may only sign up for yourself not anyone else.
BOAT ASSIGNMENTS ARE RANDOM. WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ACCOMMODATE “FISHING WITH” REQUESTS. Also, depending on weather or boat assignment you may be fishing for salmon or in Resurrection Bay. If you have to fish with your buddies or only for halibut, this is not the trip for you!!
Cancellation Policy
Space in the tournament is extremely limited. If you sign up and find out you cannot make it please let us know ASAP, so that we can contact people on the waiting list. Please note that this fishing trip is made available through the generosity of Alaskan residents and businesses. We do not want boats with empty seats!

What to Expect if you Get a Spot:
Additional information about the Combat Fishing Tournament will be emailed to the email account listed on your registration form. This includes things like: what time to meet the bus if you are riding with us, or what time to arrive and where to meet if you drive yourself, etc.
You will have to have a boarding pass to enter a line this year once you arrive in Seward. These will be ready for pick up from our JBER office May 14-18h. This boarding pass indicates your boat assignment and which line you will check into upon arriving in Seward. If you are not in the Anchorage area your boarding pass will be provided to you in Seward at check in the morning of the tournament.
